Gateway snubs Intel, puts AMD inside
Longtime Intel loyalist Gateway Inc. will introduce PCs based on the forthcoming K6-3 chip from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. The substitution is expected to allow Gateway to offer the machines at prices substantially lower than comparable Intel-equipped systems.
