Gateway resumes 1GHz Thunderbird shipments
Gateway has resumed shipments of PCs featuring AMD's 1GHz Thunderbird chip after repairing a glitch that caused the machines to lock up.
Company officials said the problem - discovered in the first few weeks the computers were available - was caused by a power circuit in the motherboard, but that only a relatively small number of customers were affected.
