Gateway offers $360 eMachines PC
Gateway announced four additions to its entry-level eMachines brand. The new T3624 is offered for $360 (after $50 mail-in-rebate) and comes with a Celeron D 330 processor (2.66 GHz), 256 MByte DDR memory, a 60 GByte harddrive, a 48x CD-RW drive and Intel-based integarted graphics.
The second model T3828 is priced at $400 (after $50 mail-in-rebate) is similarly equipped but includes a Celeron D 335 processor (2.8 GHz) processor, a 80 GByte harddrive, a DVD/CD-RW combo drive and a 8-in-1 digital media reader. For $100 more, the T3958 comes with a dual-layer DVD burner and a Celeron D 340 processor (2.93 GHz) as well as 512 MByte memory.
The eMachines T5026 represents a new performance model for the product line and includes a Pentium 4 519 processor (3.06GHz), 512 MByte memory, a 160 GByte SATA harddrive, a dual-layer DVD burner, and Intel’s PCI Express 915 chipset. The system is priced at $600. (THG)
