Gateway launches three notebooks and desktop PCs
Gateway will add three notebooks and desktop computers to its portfolio next Monday. The mobile announcements include the widescreen device 6010GZ for $1000, the thin and light model 3522GZ for $1200 and the desktop replacement device 7426GX with an AMD 64-bit processor for $1550.
The 7426GX comes with an Athlon 64 3700+ chip, a 15.4" display, ATI’s Mobility Radeon 9550 graphics chip, 1 GByte memory, a 100 GByte harddrive as well as a dual-layer DVD burner.
The new desktop devices are the BTX-based 832GM for $1000, the 830GM for $880, and the 507GR for $700. Features of the higher-end model include a 16x dual-layer DVD burner, a TV tuner and a 250 GByte harddrive. The 830GM integrates a 64-bit Pentium 4 630 processor, 512 MByte memory and 200 GByte harddrive space. The 507GR is based on the 32-bit Pentium 4 530 processor and offers 512 MByte memory and a 200 GByte harddrive. (THG)
