Irvine (CA) - Emachines today introduced four new entry-level systems that sport double-layer DVD burners.

Three out of the four models come with a 16X speed DVD +/- RW drive that can burn DVDs with up to 8.4 GB of data. All four systems will have an integrated Nvidia GeForce 6100 graphics chip, but users have the option to a dedicated card with an open PCI Express X16 slot.

The new T6532 Media Center PC is the priciest model at $550. It is powered by an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ and comes with 1 GB of RAM and a 200 GB hard drive. The model runs Windows Media Center Edition and integrates a 200 GB 7200 RPM hard drive to store all the music and videos that would invariably be put on such a machine.

The lowest-priced model is the T3120 desktop computer that runs a AMD Sempron 3100+ processor with 512 MB of RAM. While the T3120 only comes with a normal DVD/CD-ROM drive and not a burner, it is offered at eMachine‚Äôs traditional entry-level price of $350, which includes a $50 rebate.

The new systems are currently available at US retailers.
