Gateway considers sale of retail business
Gateway today said that it has received "an unsolicited expression of interest" from Lap Shun (John) Hui to acquire its retail operations. The company said that its board of directors will be reviewing the "the expression of interest" with the help of its financial and legal advisors Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
Gateway did not say if it has received an actual acquisition offer from Hui.
