Gateway brand loses Intel only status
A filing on the Ace’s Hardware message board reveals that the loss making Gateway has not only seen the light but has acted upon it, which means someone at the IT vendor has at last made the obvious decision to again adopt AMD processor technology for its Gateway branded PCs. We reported back in June that the Gateway web site was selling AMD kit on the side and that adopting AMD processors for its Gateway branded PCs could help the struggling concern to improve its bottom line.
