Garmin GPS sales to break three million mark worldwide in 2006
Driven by strong demand for consumer electronics and car navigation systems, Garmin International aims for sales of its global positioning systems (GPS) to hit the three million mark in 2006, up from an estimate of 2.7-2.8 million units for last year.
The Kansas-based GPS vendor shipped almost two million units in the first three quarters of 2005, up 26% from 1.59 million during the same period in 2004, according to the company.
