Games Convention: Leipzig Readies for International Crowd : Leipzig, Germany: Europe's Game Capital

For the third consecutive year, the Leipzig, Germany convention center has hosted the Games Convention, where manufacturers and publishers, but also developers, meet for four days. The peculiarity of the event is that it's also open to the general public.
Within six gigantic exhibition halls, visitors can discover the latest products - hardware (PCs, consoles and telecommunications), games (PC and console), multimedia software (educational, utilities) and also telephone games and accessories prior to their launch during the coming months. While the E3 (the Electronic Entertainment Expo, held in May in Los Angeles) is THE leading gaming trade show worldwide, the Games Convention now has become a not-to-be-missed event in Europe. After having navigated up and down the miles of exhibits, THG was on hand to witness this year's excitement.
