GamePC offers dual CPU option
GamePC is now offering customizable systems that are powered by two Intel Celeron 300MHz CPUs that have been overclocked to 450MHz. According to the company, these systems rival the performance of dual 450MHz Pentium III systems for a fraction of the cost.
The company says that the demand for dual systems will increase with the use of Microsoft's Windows 2000 operating system, which can handle multiple processors. Furthermore, dual systems should have a 20 to 60 percent performance increase, in comparison to their single CPU counterparts.
