Bowing to a federal court order, Connectix Corp. is "temporarily" suspending shipments of its Virtual Game Station.
A San Francisco Federal District Court issued the decision in connection with a complaint by Sony Corp.
Connectix says the court order does not apply to the tens of thousands of units that it has already shipped, which will continue to be available for resale while supplies last.
Connectix will continue to offer support to customers who have already bought CVGS or who may buy units that are now in stores.
Updates to older versions are still availablefor download at http://www.connectix.com .
Development of improved versions of the Macintosh product and the forthcoming Windows version is not affected by this decision and will go forward as planned, according to the company.
