The Broken Sword

This game came out several years ago, first for the PC and then for PlayStation. The Broken Sword represents the epitome of the graphic adventure type of game whose heyday was the microcomputer version the 1990s. In the storyline of The Broken Sword, George Stobbard is the central character, an American on vacation in Paris, who narrowly escapes an assassination attempt at the beginning of the game.
The game continues, in the best tradition of adventure movies, as Stobbard goes on the trail of the mysterious Templars. This adaptation for GBA is brilliant. The playability has been cleverly altered; the console is able to produce the necessary effects; and the scenery is terrific with amazing detail and subtlety. The soundtrack is also of very high quality, with great background music. This one is a must for fans of adventure and puzzle games.
