Fujitsu pumps up SPARC64 chip
Fujitsu Computer Systems is ramping up the speed and size of its SPARC64 processor. The Sunnyvale, Calif., company’s SPARC64 V chip has been bumped up to 1.89GHz, from a maximum frequency of 1.35GHz, and now offers 3MB of Level 2 cache rather than the current 2MB.
