Fujitsu announces Itanium 2, Opteron systems
Fujitsu Computer Systems Corp., the U.S. subsidiary of Japan’s Fujitsu Ltd., will begin shipping its first Itanium 2 server next month, the company said Tuesday. "The Primergy RXI600 will support between one and four processors based on Intel Corp.’s 64-bit technology and will have a maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz, said Jon Rodriguez, a senior product manager with Fujitsu Computer Systems."
