FujiFilm, Olympus announce 1 GByte xD picture card
Fuji Photo and Olympus have jointly developed a 1GB version of their xD Picture Card memory card that will be available at the beginning of 2005, the companies announced Monday.
The new card uses high density MLC (Multi Level Cell) memory technology to make it possible to pack 1 GByte into an ultra-compact card. The new technology will allow for xD-Picture Cards up to a capacity potential of 8 GByte.
