From Russia With Fire

Hardcore gamers with a strong appreciation for eye candy are generally well-acquainted with Russian game developer GSC Game World. Their team has already turned many heads with the pre-launch of Stalker, due out next year, which combines eye-popping graphics with a creative storyline. The less well known Firestarter, another of the team's projects, has just reached gold status and will be out in stores shortly.

Firestarter is a classical, action-packed first-person shooter set in the year 2010. The first-person shooter is a computer gamer trapped in a virus-infected VR gaming machine called Firestarter. The character is forced to complete all 16 levels of the four simulated high-tech worlds to escape from the VR trap.
Of course, the game won't just let the player waltz out without putting up a fight and sends its own horde of fantasy-type monsters out to slaughter and frag. With twenty different types of monsters, the game offers a wide variety of opponents. The player can choose from five different character classes, which differ in strength and speed as well as special ability.
