French government commissions videogame to explain budget to irate masses
The French government is to launch an Internet game in May called Cyberbudget to help teach the public about the difficulties of balancing the country’s books, Budget Minister Jean-Francois Cope said.
The idea is to teach students in particular how difficult it is to put together a balanced budget, with the hope on the part of the French government being that less cars will get burned out by irate types if they understand just why the budget has to be so stingy.
