So many readers have asked for additional details and pictures of the Western Digital USB 2.0 external hard drives metallic-colored faceplates, we asked our friends at WD if they could give us a little better picture and they were more than happy to provide one.

It should be noted that these faceplates are only compatible with new version of the Western Digital USB 2.0 external hard drives. These add-on faceplates are available through the company’s online store in an assortment of bright, metallic colors including green, indigo (blue), red and black as you can see in the picture below.
