Foxconn to launch own-brand motherboards through affiliate First Tech in May
After months of market speculation, Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) has finally made a foray into the clone motherboard market. Through its 70%-owned affiliate First Tech (formally translated as Fu Pen), the company will introduce several motherboards based on Intel's 845 series chipsets by the end of May, marketed under the Hoxtek brand name.
