Fotonation Introduces Technology To Rid Camera Phones Of Red Eye
An increasing problem with camera phones is that the proximity of the flash to the camera lens is creating a lot of red-eyed monsters out of your family, friends and posing loved one. Fotonation is one of the first company’s to come to the table with software to reduce this red eye on the phone itself, eliminating the need to take photos onto the computer to do a Photoshop job on them.
This marks a shift for Fotonation, who have previously been working in the digital camera world proper, with customers such as Kodak, Nikon and Samsung. The company is hoping to integrate its camera phone red eye reduction software into as many handsets as they can find, beginning with the Nokia N73, N80 and N93 series of phones.
