Can a work unit even run that long....

my sig system keeps getting told time has passed cause i only run it when i am on that system(too much power waste for 24/7). In most cases if i am not done in 7 days its not gonna let me finish it.

I got a 1million Step(is a frame and step the same?) WU on my 1800+ and i think it took 5-6 days(i dont watch it close, that comp plays music and does other 24/7 stuff)

Also, use the console client when that WU is done. its faster and does not waste cpu power on that little folding picture/animation.

The WU was just being mildly retarded, it updated and now will be completed on Tuesday. Much better IMO.

G'day,

I've overclocked my AMD 4000+ processor a couple of days ago by about 30%. It seems strange but now my PPD has gone from about 130PPD to 290PPD. Just thought some people might be interested. I mainly overclocked my CPU to play oblivion but the PPD increase was a nice side effect. I'm saving for a ATI 2950XT. I should be able to afford one when they come out.

Cheers
Lyall

You know there isn't even a reply button anymore (gonna be a lot more quoting going on so that we can identify who's question we are answering). They also seem to have turned off all the message notifications unless you go in and expesly turn it back on for each thread you want to watch.

Hopefully enough of us will come back and post to get ourselves on the front page for a while and bring peoples attention back to the team.

By clicking the quote button you can reply to another post (it looks like an envelope with an arrow).

If you click the quote button (it looks like an envelope with an arrow) you can effectively reply to any post. I do agree though that you should be able to reply to any given post more easily (and without the need to quote it).
