Many people i see are asking about why the pc's are running to hot, these tips will help you out .....

First IF its summer your pc will run 10-20 decress hotter, use your air con or house fans

use your system away from direct sunlight or at least shield it

UPGRADE your pc parts (eg power sup and hard drives and cpu fan) old ones are not as Efficient as the new tech

MOST IMPORTANT- CLEAN YOUR PC - open the case, take out your graphic card and use a vacuum cleaner or canned air where the fan is, being carefull and use it on the power suppy and the cpu fans these 3 placers get the most dust buildup and can make a 15 decree differrance

something i tryed with my front pc fan was i moved my hard drive from the slot to the bottom of my pc then placed the fan directy ontop of it, ran speed fan again to check temperture and it went from 40 to 30 decrees
After cleaning my cpu fan i got another 10 decrees off, now running at 35 decress idle
dont forget to clean your monitor slots as well

ps cooler pc's last longer
good luck hope it helps

also:
if you have your computer OC'ed, when summer hits, lower the OC and the voltage to lower temps

If at stock speeds, under volt to get lower temps

My wife used to live on campus at Eastern Michigan University. She was living on the 10th floor of an oooold building that had zero air conditioning. It gets up to 90-100 degrees F (32 to 38C) in Michigan during the summers. I actually had to underclock my old Athlon 2800 XP+ because of how hot it was.

Heh, well if you have a water-block then you could (1) hook it up to your garden hose and cool your PC while watering the grass or taking an outdoor shower :D, (2) get some really long tubing and stick the heat exchanger into your neighbor's pool or well or duck pond, (3) warm your auntie's hot tea with it, or (4) get even more long tubing and put the exchanger in front of your Dodge Camaro radiator, and then rev the engine all day long :D.

Seriously, though - you could stick the exchanger in a deep pan of water outside and use evaporative cooling effect, with maybe a small desk fan blowing over it to help. However I'd make sure the temp alarm system on the PC is working and can shut it off if the temps get too high, just in case you forget to watch the water level in the pan :D.
