That's DFI QC for you. I remmember when I got my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe 3.5 years back (DAMN THAT WAS ONE GOOD LOOKING BOARD). Everything looked perfectly aligned. Then a friend bought the DFI (nonSLI but dualGPU) nForce4 board. Almost every component was poorly aligned ... I teased him for weeks about it. He got a higher clocked A64 and it overclocked better so he returned the favour. Mine still lives. His gave out about a year ago. He who laughs last has ASUS.

i know, but i have read good reviews on these boards and every since the p35 & x38 series they have made a name for themselves again, i wish abit would do the same, hell that all i used to buy and then i went to asus but ever since i got my msi p35 its been the best performing board i have every had, hell i got 9500 read 9500 write and 8700 copy on everest with the gskill pc2-8000 memory i have and that is another thing, i think i going to stay with gskill, from now on b/c these babies have perform well over spec compared to micron/corsair/ocz, i was quite surprised.

^While I value the Corsair 520/620HX series to high heavens (I own one ) it is likely not a good idea to put one in a rig with a 4GHz+ quadcore and 2 225W max graphics cards...
 
750W min FTW

got my pc p&c 750w, it is really nice, too many connections but thats never a bad thing.  Runs everything solid, I can run the quad at 4.4ghz and it doesnt reboot on me anymore but i have to tune it down to 4.0-4.2 ghz waiting on a water cooling solution now for the computer
 
Andrius btw, it came with the 6pin+2pin pcie connections 2 of them so i am safe, got lucky b/c it says nothing about coming with them, i am very happy with it, thanks a bunch, you totally helped me out
 
btw, corsair 520hx will get killed by my computer , it will probably boot with a pci video card in it and 1 stick of ram without one single fan in my computer and one hard drive and one dvd burner, lol thats to you andrius

What kind of watercooling did you buy? Something custom I hope!

I have a Thermaltake BW745 kit (bought it so I can figure out the kinks of a WC kit).
My current findings :
- WC is very high maintenance compared to AC
- BMW car engine anti corrosion cooling fluid works well and is cheap
- you need 3 gallons of distilled water once every 3-4 months
- a drain/refill valve at the highest point of the loop is highly advisable
- the Thermaltake pump is rubish
- watercooling is fun to build
- you need soft silicone tubing or it gets painful to route in tight spaces.
- antikink (springs in a tube) systems are advisable

I'm a DIY guy otherwise but I had no idea how to start without a basic kit.
EDIT : This is a great guide (if I found it before I decided to dive in I'd cool my QC with water).
Graphics cards with WC are a NO-NO in this country so ... I'd be stuck with passive cooled (9600GT max).

It's probably a good choice. Swiftech has great reputation for WC products.
Because you can't buy any cards with waterblocks or GPU specific waterblocks in local shops(I found one where I could have ordered some specific components). I've asked around a bit and it would have cost me about 150EUR to get a $90 8800GTS(G80) waterblock about 6 months ago. No warranty on that either. So I went with passive GPU cooling.

I broke 23k on 3dmark06 tonight, I cant believe I did it.  the x48 board got me an o/c on air at 4.46 @ 1.53v- everest read write & copy were 9300/9450/9500, the mobo also took my 3dmark06 from 20200 to 23100

(The voltage is a bit high for my taste. But you don't plan to keep that thing for a long time anyway. ) And what will you play with that hardware? Does anything but Crysis really need so much power?

sorry, that is in the bios, cpuz and everest register 1.47v, supreme commander, crysis, but that is not why i built the computer, the real reason is b/c I do a lot of video encoding every week, this helps with the quality and speed at which i do my coverting and burning, what took me 1.25 hrs to do with a amd dual core 5200 o/ced to 3.1ghz, now only takes me 8 minutes with a quad core.  btw, i am waiting for star craft 2 to come out, i pretty much play any game that comes out but im into racing and rts

oh, i found out this morning that one of my ati cards was not flashed and is running at stock speed - 837/950 and ill flash it to 900/1100 so that should definitely pickup the points as well

Nice numbers. Supreme Commander. I could use a 4GHz quad in that, yes. The graphics part is just overkill for it. My Single 9600GT runs it quite smoothly at 1920x1200 (high fidelity presets, low shadows, 2xAA) with 30+ fps average. The nukes make it drop to around 16 min but I think that's a CPU problem not graphics. I'm guessing if you run a /perf test you get 10k points for both render and sim.
 
I just got a note that I get 1100 EUR back from our IRS this year.
Too bad I can't find a DFI X38/X48 board anywhere here. I might give it a try but I seriously dislike the X48s cooler. I guess RAMPAGE or P5E will have to do.

you can order it from newegg or ebay.  Newegg has the best prices though,  I am getting a 50" plasma when i get my irs check back. and water cooling for my computer, but i am selling 2 raptors, antec 650w & p35 mobo on ebay right now.

AFAIK newegg doesn't ship to Slovenia. We're like Siera Leone or Somalia to your online shops.
I've been reading up on reviews of the ASUS P5E just so I know what to expect. The more I read the more I lean towards GA-EX38-DS4. I really don't like it's layout and I despise the "box of crayons" coloring scheme. It also has a (daft design) 4pin firewire connector. WTH?
 
The lack of choice is starting to bug me.
