Yes I was planning to run 9800 GX2 in quad sli before they were released but after they came out they weren't as impressive as they were expected and so I'm not going to spend huge $$$ upgrading when I'm not going to gain a lot. Not sure whether to wait now for some proper new architecture from nvidia or just get another 8800 GTX seeing as the prices are dropping so much. I'll definitely make use of the PSU in the future anyway. Any advice?

I would wait for g200, a 8800gtx can take anything you throw at it already and you can just ebay it later.

nzxtlexa --> Does your pump fill the res? It looks that way in the pick....
Or does that pump pull down and push horizontal?

Your pump should pull from the rez.

Nice Rig though, i love that box.. I was scared to go with a see-through case because it be VERY hard to hide the wires and make look clean. Good work.

Looks like your Zalman 9500 is backwards. It should be pushing air out, not pulling air in. Looks like the case fan & the CPU fan are fighting against each other, not working together.

I love your system Grieve. Wish I had painted my Antec 900. Two questions, though. One, what is that in your top drive bay? and two, what water cooler are you using? Oh and Nukemaster, that is one Insane system! What in the world do you store in all that Hard Drive Space? I'm dying to know. Video editing? pirated movies (lol)?

Ok, well on to my system. Its pretty modest, but I love it.

Actually the case has odd air flow. In front 120, out side 120, in back 80 out top 80. So actually, the Zalman is pulling cool air from the back. It seems odd, but thats the way Lian Li designed it, and it actually works really well. It makes two separate air flow paths, one across the HDD, across the GFX card, and out, and one across the CPU and RAM, and out the top. My idle temps are almost always at the room's ambient and at load, the case temps never go above 35. With my OC, my temps are usually 1 degree above ambient at idle, and go to ~62*C under full load for an hour or so.

Thanks. Yes it goes from Res ---> Pump ---> through rad ---> CPU ---> back to Res

Yep that is the only tricky thing about the case. If you a complete neat freak then this really isn't the case for you because it seems that from every different angle you look at it you see another wire that bugs you and that you want to hide! Also fingerprints quite badly but I've got a bit of Acrylic polish that deals with that!

What do you say?
IMO I must better tuck the cables from the PSU.

BTW the CPU idles @ 34oC,load 43oC(57oC for cores), and the GPU idles @ 43oC,load 67oC.
To improve negative air pressure I'm thinking of putting Arctic Cooling 12PWM fan instead Antecs' TriCool 120mm?
TriCool is a bit loud(to me) at Med setting, so I think AC 12 PWM will be quieter, and better performing.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Cool rigs, took me like forever to check them all out :) To - nzxtlexa, that case is somethin'. If I were you i'd throw another 8800 gtx in, you have the board already and the prices are droping so i think it's a good buy. Here are pics of my comp.

Thanks, I'm still thinking about it just really not sure. The only thing thats holding me back is how often new stuff is being released for example there are talks of 9900 GTX already that may be released in about just 3 months! If prices fall low enough to make it worth while then I may eventually but at the moment there isn't a lot I can't do with just one. I get good fps in COD 2, COD 4 and FSX which I play quite a lot is more CPU capped than GPU limited although I guess it would help slightly.

*EDIT* forgot to mention that currently the cheapest I can get the same 8800 gtx new here in the UK is at about $540 which is way too much IMO

That is a bit too much. I'm from Croatia btw and here they started going down in price during last month, they go for around 400-700$, depending on a shop. Big differences from shop to shop, so try checking out all the shops maybe you can find something, or wait a little till the prices even up.
I've put some links to my rig's pics on my last post so check them out.

I'll see what I can do. I'm looking on ebay as most sellers are trying to get rid of their stock and so prices are quite good but still not ideal. I'm sure they will come down further soon.
