144hz display caps fps at 60 with vsync on

I recently bought a Asus VG248QE to upgrade from my old tv When playing cs I was still noticing screen tearing, so out of curiosity i opened up afterburner to see what my fps was with vsync on and it was capped at 60, just wondering if i can fix this, or if there is even anything wrong. Thanks for any help :D

Displayport cable from GPU to monitor make sure you get the right connections and you should be good

I thought dvi supported 144hz but I'll order a cable, cant hurt to try. Thanks man :)
  3. It's possible you're using a DVI Single Link cable. DisplayPort is a safe bet however.
