Setting up a mining operation -- what routing solution?

My needs are simple. I have many computers that need connected via ethernet cables. I know most routers only have 4 or 5 ethernet slots, so that is where my problem lies. What would the best solution be for hooking up 8-10 rigs? These rigs don't use a lot of bandwidth at all, they just need a quick ping and that is something wireless doesn't always provide. I'm open to any and all suggestions.

  1. I suspect there may be some information missing since the answer is so simple.

All you need is a switch they come with pretty much any number of ports you can want up to many hundreds. You can get 12 or 24 ports switches very inexpensively. You would then hook a single router to this switch to provide access to the internet or whatever.
