Can't decide what mobo for my build, under 200 pounds
Hi guys! I'm about to buy a new PC. I have carefully selected most of the components but I just can't decide what mobo I should put under my future pc. I know one thing though, no Asrock, I know it's good and everything but that is not an option for me. Mostly for gaming so what important is: good performance, nice audio, pci 3, sata III, usb 3,easily updateable BIOS, 2-way crossfire, quality solid board for long lasting. not very important: OC, wifi, lots of ports
Build: VGA - Asus 7970 Direct CU II CPU - i5 3570k RAM- Kingston HyperX Predator 2400mhz or Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz (2x4GB) SSD - OCZ vertex4 128GB HDD - Seagate 1TB 7200rpm 64mb chache PSU - OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W

I used to feel exactly how you feel about ASRock, but they have turned themselves around.
I'll try to help the best I can steering away from ASRock though.
Another plus with the sabertooth is the 5 year warranty. I have a sabertooth (990FX) and have been very happy with it.
The V-Pro is solid.
The Maximus V Gene is a Micro-ATX board (not sure how you feel about that, but I personally don't like the little boards)
I personally (and a lot of members here do also) steer away from MSI. I have had some pretty bad experiences with them. Currently my personal hierarchy of brands is:
Asus / Gigabyte ASRock MSI ECS / Biostar
Yes I read about the msi issue, but i have seen very good reviews about the mpower so thats a bit confusing. Sabertooth is potencional but I read an review about the p8z77 v pro thunderbolt witch is very amaizing, got 96 % on tweektown pro thunderbolt and the sabertooth is on the same price now, around 180 pounds. So you suggest the saber
oh and yeah i dont like little boards
They are both great, you will be happy either way.
basicly all these boards quality mobos, with little differences, you are right
