Will cod4 and cnc3 work in vista under a DX9 graphics? Just bought a laptop and I was curious before I tried it.

Neither one of those games supports Direct X10.

Well what about under DX9 graphics? I know the platform is vista and DX10 but the gfx is a integrated x1270 (which I hope will play the games) and it supports up to DX9.

neither game is a DX10 game.  only supports DX9

Vista is DX9 compatible.

Correct.
 
However Vista is also DX9 compatible so you WILL be able to play C&C 3 and CoD 4.

Now sure if those games will run that good using integrated x1270 , integrated graphics usually suck for gaming.
