The remote to my Pioneer DVL 919 is missing.

Pioneer lists that remote as not being available until perhaps July of this year. I can't wait. Without the remote I can't play over half of my DVDs nor can I, of course, access any of my DVDs' Special Features.

Is there any other (available) remote that will work with my DVL 919? If so, will it be out-of-the-box functional or will it need to be re-programmed? Thanks for your help!
