More Information

To add my $.02 to 19" monitor\flat display recommendations:
My new Micron 900MX from Best Buy isn't a Micron. Micron outsourced it to CTX...it's a CTX PR960F (w\out the USB hub), which has gotten great reviews in England, so-so in the US...I think the US reviewers didn't set it up right (like letting it warm up...like adjusting the convergence and moire; oh well, that's why we're here at Tom's)...

Be that as it may...
the 900MX is a great Sony FD Trinitron true flat 19"er that is so neutral and easy on the eyes it doesn't seem 19" at all...now I want the 21"er! (if only $$$ weren't an object!)

Micron doesn't cover the warranty. CTX provides customer support...but get the Best Buy carry-in warranty for $50...these 19"ers would cost near $70 to ship (most times WE pay, even under warranty!)

Look for an out-of-box display model...I got mine from someone who returned it probably thinking Sony's 2 wires were a defect!

Anyway, it's VERY nice...the only quirk is that the monitor is SO BRIGHT that I need to dim brighness to a VERY LOW 40\100 for printed pages (the bad reviews in the US probably didn't do that either) and increase it to
70\100 for photos. Hey, you can't ever have a monitor TOO bright!!!

Good luck, Kit
