just buy a high spex laptop of ebay or newegg.com or anywhere really and have it posted to you...then buy a linux distro seperate...

Doesnt need to be high spec either, as Beardie OS (Linux... sorry) doesnt demand such high resources as Windows

Vista 64 needs 4 GB RAM and a fast dual core CPU... Linux wont need as much memory or a top end CPU to make it workly well.

A nice dual core with reasonable nVidia/ATi gpu. One of the main things to check for is if the wireless card is supported out of the box or will you need to mashup a Windows driver.

Try asking this question down in the Linux section. I'm sure some people will have answers for you.
