Hello,

I just bought an Asus from a friend. When I try to play most DVDs and CDs, it reads them as blank. What can I do to change that?

Reinstall the drivers. Make sure all connections to the DVD drive are firmly in place. If that doesn't help DVD drive might be defective or broken.
