i have a dell 2.4GHZ inspiron 8500. the question is, can this get upgrade? i
heard that loptop cant be upgrade but others says it can. whats the deal?

It depends on what you want to upgrade. Memory or hard drives are
easily upgrade. You're near the max for a CPU on that system - and the
fastest mobile P4-m (note - mobile P4-m, not mobile P4, desktop P4 or
Pentium-M) is a 2.6 - which is an expensive ($500-600+) CPU.
