I've tried to load the driver for an HP 1012 Laserjet printer on mny Gateway Solo 1450 laptop. It looks like the installation goes OK. When I try to print a test page, nothing happens. The computer recognizes the printer, it just won't print. I am currently using this printer with three other computers with no problems. I'm using the same cable I use with another computer.

This laptop only has a USB 1.1 port - no USB 2.0 ports. Aren't they backward compatible, just slower?

Any ideas? Thanks.
