Sometimes it will boot, but most of the time on booting it will simply hang. The fans will rev up, to no avail. I ran chkdsk, which came back with a clean report. SMART status of the HDD seems ok.


I've googled this model and it looks like there's a common issue with the LCD - > adapter cable underneath the keyboard along with loose screws on the CPU.


What i'm looking for is help in determining if there's anything else I should be looking at. The Laptop is out of warranty. I'm hesitant about taking it apart because of the sketchy walkthroughs available and my own limited experience working inside laptops.


Any advice/ideas/suggestions is appreciated.
