Hello everyone just signed up and glad to be apart of this website.
i have a budget of $1200 and was wondering which laptop would be best (for the money) laptop that can play swtor on high settings. I already have a desktop so dont tell me that laptops suck for gaming, i want a good computer i can take to friends house, instead of hauling my nzxt phantom full tower. id like to have a backlit keyboard and 1080p display either 17" or 15".
thank you for any suggestions

Hey thanks, for the suggestions. i really like the asus one and i was already looking at that one but they were always like $1500 or more. Plus i like that it comes with a backpack and mouse for it (which i was already planning on getting). i also heard they have a good cooling system.

It does have a beefy, designed for gaming, cooling system and still pretty quiet.
And it's a nice feature set too at price that isn't crazy. Little things like backlit keyboard are nice touches.

i agree, i was looking at the configurator and was wondering if the bigfoot killer wireless-n card was worth it they have three different ones to choose from but the most expensive one says (includes third antena)...what does that mean?

I also just found this video about the keyboard

is this a problem i should be worried about?

Reply to Deadmanrizin

It's not something you need to worry about.

See the comments to go along with the video:
"Not a big problem when typing or playing games."
"Not a problem if you're not trying to kill the laptop..."

thank you alot you have been alot of help. Im usally good with computers (i built my own desktop) but when it comes to laptops it goes right over my head. all the different choices with the configurator can be confusing.

So is that wireless network card something i can buy and put in down the road after i get the laptop?

Reply to Deadmanrizin

The default wireless card should be all you need.
