Which processor is better for gaming and multitasking? A friend told me that the i5 is the better processor for gaming
both would have the same graphics card.

2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2430M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Turbo Boost to 3.0 GHz

2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM (2.2 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz

the i7 is going to be better in pretty much everything as it's a quad core the i5 on the other hand is just a dual core CPU (the desktop i5 CPU is a quad core but the M form for notebooks are dual )
don't trust your friend on this one :D
