I just bought an ACER (7750g) laptop and I was wondering for how long I should charge the battery for the first time. :)

What i do keep the machine switched off and charge until green light shows ( full charge)

Disconnect the charger and use the laptop on full power until the battery runs out completely.

Do this a few times and the battery memorises how much capacity it has.

Hope this helps - i am sure the manual also mentions this but it varies on different machines.
