Storing Laptops

Forum Laptops & Notebooks : General Discussion Storing Laptops

We have about 20 laptops that are a little on the outdated side at work. I keep up with them and on a occasion someone needs them for training group or ect.. Now we have a few that we normally loan out. These laptops though can sit for 1 to 2 months at a time.

My Question is how best to store them? They are locked in a Dry area that stays about 75 year round. What other precautions should i take?

Should I take the batteries out? Run them dead before storage?

I have been storing them with the batteries charged and the chargers boxed up. I just want to increase the longevity of these laptops as they will prob not be replaced as they malfunction.

Thanks!
