hello,

i want to buy a UPS for Aspire 5755G

SPECS:


Intel 2nd generation Core I5-2410M
4GB DDR3 RAM
640GB HDD
nVidia GeForce GT 540M
Super Multi DVD-RW with Dual Layer
15.6"


i know that the UPS power is measured in VA,but i really don't know which VA ratings to get

hope someone can help

VA is the number you get when you multiply Volts output times Amps output.
When buying a UPS, add up all the VAs of the devices you want to have battery backup protection [e.g. laptop + monitor + external drives + other ] and double that number.
This way when you loose power, you are only using 50% of the UPS's rated output. Otherwise your will shutdown in just a few minutes.

As this is a laptop they don't really have very high needs when it comes to power. I would recommend a 450 - 500 VA UPS.
