Hey, we did help (thank you WR2 and cloudy2010). But we are just not familiar with the laptop market in your area. You will have to wait for someone in your region to give you a definite recommendation.

I am getting someone from India to help out on this thread.

Ok, Thanx to Pyree, here's the stuff the OP needs

See, basically I still have to search a little more, but, if the OP would like a particular set of stuff and a particular brand, that would be available . And can be arranged for.

Getting a 17'' Display for that price here is impossible.

Have you tried the Dell site? There is a customization option there where you can kind of make your own laptop to your own specifications....

You can even go through this site for a rough estimate of prices and models, but I'd aim for something marked 35K to 40K since we can manage to get the price down to 35K if bought directly from the outlets.

If I were you, I'd go for an Acer or a Dell here in India. They have really good service centers. HP and Compaq are bad cos their products last and work perfectly till the warranty ends, 80% of the cases have been that laptops from them get major expenses one month after the expiry of the Warranty.
Sony's are overpriced not worth the premium, Dell's expensive too but they deliver what they charge for. All though a little more then what it costs but yes, their products have a long life.
Acer's are poor mans Laptops, they deliver the best of hardware at the cheapest of prices and literally no problems if used with care.
