No the Partitions only contribute to the total slowness.
I wonder why did you make 5 Partitions unless it's a 3TB drive.... which I doubt.
Since it's a laptop it needs to have a very small version of the OS, meaning, you do not need to install the whole OS, it needs to be customized and optimized for the laptop to use more efficiently. This is something that most manufacturers do, thereby making it a tad faster than regular full versions of the same OS.
A good partition table would be having the drive divided into usable space with ample free space on each partition.
You'll need to do some reading about this in a partitioning guide.

Or there might be some application programmed to start on system start-up. That might take more time to start windows.

i have got 320gb harddisk so i dicided to make 5 partition but only startup became slow but overall computer speed is good so what coulkd be the reason behind that because i have installed a new copy of windows to overcome this problem but there was no success

Check all the services that startup in windows and disable the ones that you do not need.
Also remove programs that you do need from the Windows Startup.
To remove or stop services you need to get into the msconfig or services module.
