Hello,

As I finished my LED switching operation on my Nokia 6210, I noticed a rather serious problem. My microphone is probably not working.

I say probably, because I can call people, send SMS and the memory works and so forth. But once I call someone, the recipient can't hear my voice, although I can hear them loud and clear. I did the LED switching operation according to the http://www.bluled.co.uk guide. So, _everything_ else _seems_ to work alright, only my voice doesn't reach the recipient.

I did break loose a pad, but managed to jumpwire it so the connection worked. As I didn't even touch the microphone, I'm not sure whether the problem is the microphone itself or somewhere on the board.

I can't test the microphone by swapping it to an other phone, so is there a way to measure its functionality (I have a voltage meter). I tried several times to detach the microphone and reinstalling it to the slot, but it didn't work. There is no visible damage on it.

[EDIT]
I just tested the phone with a handsfree device, and it worked perfectly. So I think it's safe to assume that the problem is the microphone itself and not the board. Which is a somewhat relief...
Edited by Morwing on 09/23/03 04:56 PM.
