I wold like to find out how to remove the BIOS password in a Dell E6500 laptop. I know there is a universal code for my model which ends in 2A7B can you help me

^ if the above link from WR2 doesn't work then follow these steps.

 

can you prove ownership of this unit is you contact Dell.?
if not but unit is your then go here:
http://support.dell.com/support/to [...] g_transfer

 

fill out form and then contact Dell with your situation.
it's better to go on-line and use the real-time Dell Tech chat for support.
