Hello,
I have a logitech optical mouse that my daughter gave as Xmas prezzie -it now has an intermittent fault which causes it to keep seizing up. I can sometimes free it up by unplugging it from the computer and straight away putting it back in again, but it is a real nuisance - do I have to just buy a new one!

you need to figure out if the issue is with the mouse, the port or software based.

-try the mouse on a different pc. if it works fine then its not the mouse. if it doesnt work then chances are it is the mouse.

-plug the mouse into a different port. if it works fine then its probably the port. if it doesnt then it could be either the mouse or software based.
