Hello,

I have computer with 2 LCD monitors. Some folders were in main monitor and some were on other monitor. All of a sudden the other monitor is black without any display. It seems it is dead. Do I lose the folders here or it is still displayed in main monitor? Please let me know.

Register or log in to remove.

First, folders are not "in" the monitor, they are just displayed there, on your desktop. It's all stored on the computer. It would be like losing a key to your house and thinking that all your stuff is now gone. The monitors just display what the computer tells them to.

All of your files stored on the desktop are in the user profile, in the Desktop directory. You can get to them all there.

Second, test the monitor with another PC, or swap monitors with the one that's working, see where the issue may be. Make sure power and video cables are all connected properly.
