Still no response? I'm in the market for a gaming monitor for around $500 as well. How do these compare to the Alienware OptX AW2310?

if you are gaming..go 120hz..not IPS. Samsung 750D or BenQ 2420

All three monitors have a matte screen so if you specifically want a glossy screen then none of these will suit you.

I'm a bit leery about the Asus PA246Q I hear sporadic issues regarding quality control every now and then. Don't know if they fixed it. The Asus might be the better of the three, but you should do your own research to find out about any potential quality control issues.

Below are extensive discussions about the three monitors over that HardForum:

Just bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-S27A [...] roduct_top

If you're looking for all the perks of a 120hz Monitor, but with a 27 inch screen, look no further. It's costly at 600 dollars. That's about 100 more than the usual 500 dollar mark for these monitors, but for the size, I find it worth it.
