Good luck buddy! I been begging people on here for help, no avail! I have spent hours researching monitors, they are so close to together, and so far apart, then throw in specials, rebates, sales, refurbs, ebay, and you have a mess on your hands! Sorry I couldnt be any help, PLEASE if you get any info that helps you make a decision please share!

Samsung s23a750D for $299 form tigerdirect when in stock

Samsung s27a750D for $399 from tigerdirect when in stock

Best monitor for gaming..as long as your gfx card has a display port and you like or don't mind glossy screen.

Also check out the new BenQ 2420T monitor...so far it also seems very good.

also tom's forums aren't the greatest for pc enthusiasts tbh..tho the "New Build" section is probably good...check out overclock.net forums..

Are there any 24" 1980X1200 gaming monitors out there that's good?

"Good" is subjective especially when it comes to a monitor. It's not like picking a CPU or GPU which is basically just looking at a bunch of benchmarks and then choosing what fits into your price range.

Monitors are all about how they look and can you notice any ghosting effects (amongst other things). How something looks is subjective. There is no such thing as a perfect monitor. You weigh what's good and what's bad, then you make a judgement call.

if you can take one with 3D Vision 2 more bright, less crosstalk great for 3D Gaming.

Have already been said up here, but the BenQ Xl2420T comes with lighboost and it is 24" 1920x1080;

there are only 2 monitors compatible with 3D Vision 2 right now:

ASUS VG278H
Benq XL2420T

I agree with you. I have this for a dual setup. One of my old 24" monitor just died. I had the Soyo Topaz S. I miss it so much! :(

Have you taken a look at Viewsonic's new 24" 3D gaming monitor? Here is a small summary on it:

Viewsonic V3D245

It is LED backlit and had some great reviews on Amazon.
