I'm using a 47" Vizio HDTV for a computer monitor, I use CAD (Autocad and Revit MEP). The clarity improved with HDMI to DVI. The problem is a line looks differend color in horizontal and vertical. It's an issue working in close figuring which system I'm looking at.

probably has more to do with you using a huge television instead of a small monitor. the pixels are most likely wider then they are tall resulting in a slightly different appearance.

if you want clarity get a dell 30" 2560x display.

bigger is going to be bigger in size but image quality goes out the window as you increase in physical size while staying at 1920x1080.

i use a 40" television connected via a dvi to hdmi and i notice no issues that arent as a result of what i just said.
