Just quick question that's been bothering me for some time. How can a a TV be listed as 1920 by 1080 pixels potentially be larger than a monitor with the same dimensions? For example, how can a TV, say 42 inches diagonal, have the same amount of pixels as (1920x1080) be larger when a monitor, 23 inches diagonal, also have 1920 x1080 pixels? Are the pixels larger or more spaced out in the TVs or do the companies list the aspect ratio of the TVs as 1920 by 1080 when in actuality the TV has like 3840 by 2160?

Yes, the TV has larger pixels.

Yep, pixel size will be larger. On a larger screen you would need to sit further back so that for the images to appear less grainy.

All HDTVs max out at 1080p or 1920x1080 resolution regardless of the size. Older HDTVs or small HDTVs are only up to 720p.
